Don't Let it Fly

Hi everyone, it's my turn today to show another creation I made with one of the gorgeous images available at Crafts & Me. I played with this amazing new image by fabulous Zindy S.D. Nielsen called Don't let it fly

I wanted to colour this image in grey monochrome tones with few red accents, what I made with Distress Inks. I love the way it turned out with its striking red colour.

Have a wonderful day now!

Dad you're the best

Hi everyone, hope you're doing fine and enjoy the wonderful weather I hope you have at your place as well.

Today I want to show you a card I made with this sweet image by S.W.A.L.K.called 'Best Dad'. This lovely image is even on Sale right now with 25 % off!! It is perfect for father's day or dad's birthday, or just to say your dad that he's the best. The sentiment is included in this stamp set as well.

I coloured the image with Distress Inks. The background papers are from the beautiful 6x6 Kaisercraft pad 'Charlotte's Dream'

Look at those cute wrench charms. Aren't they perfect for a male card? I just love them! As a border I used lemon Raffia Lace. And I added a green button as additional embellishing.

All those items are available at Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

DT Whiff of Joy - Getting Ready

Hi everyone, yep... another card to show today :o). I was in the mood to make a wedding card today and so I played with the sweet Spring Stamp Kit 2012 from Whiff of Joy which is wedding related. Isn't she so cute? The dove is from the same kit as well.

I coloured her with Distress Inks.

And as I didn't want to just have a bride on a wedding card I also added the groom in the inside of the card.

Visit the Whiff of Joy store:

I realized this round card made with the actual sketch from The Sketchy Challenges

Hope you enjoyed the holiday today. Have a good start into the new week.

May it raining Strawberries

And I also made following card for the new challenge at TOMIC where they want to see fruity pockets. As I want to join other challenges as well I tryed to get all themes together in one card, which I sucessed :o). Look at the list at the bottom of this post what all I have mixed :o).

Here's my pocket, better say what's inside the pocket. The sentiment is self generated on the computer.

And here you can see a close up of the image, which I coloured with Distress Inks. The papers are from Magnolia.

Well, here are the challenges I am joining:

Tildastown - Water Fun
Just Magnolia - Gingham
Simply Magnolia - Lace and Pearls

Seasons Winter

Hi everyone, today I want to show you a new card I just created with one of the fabulous images from Sweet Pea Stamps. It is Rebecca Sinz' 'Seasons Winter'. Although it is called Seasons Winter I decided to colour this beautiful image in more autumnal colours with my Distress Inks.

Here's a close up of the image...

I made my card with the actual Sketch from the Pink Ink Sketches and of course also want to join their challenge.

And I want to join few more challenges with it;

Southern Girls - Dying to Die Cuts
Divas by Design - Flourishes
Top Tip Tuesday - Dig out the old (paper)
City Crafter - A Rose is a Rose
Deep Ocean - Swirls

By the way... I had to change the commenting settings of my blog to moderation. I almost didn't believe my eyes, but I got about 100 spam comments the last two days. This is really very annoying!!

Have a wonderful day!

Guesting at Make it Colourful

Hi my dear friends and visitors. I am honoured to be a guest designer for a fourth time at Make it Colourful Challenges. Today there is a new challenge for you. One which was quite challenging for me as well...

COLOURING ON KRAFT

Well, this was the first time I coloured on kraft. I still don't know yet if I like it or not... I love the effect it gives. But I think I hadn't the best pencils for. They are too soft. Here is the result... I used Elizabeth J. from Make it Crafty. The papers I used are from Simple Stories.

The roses, flowers and swirls are printed on a sheet of acetate which I layered over the image.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

I used mostly rests of papers for my project which is just great as well. Who of us doesn't have them... I don't know anyone... :o)

For my project I used 'Henry with Love Balloon'. I love this image. The colouring is made with Distress Inks.

Here is a close up of the image.

I wish everyone a happy day! Thank you so much for your wonderful comments you leave me. This means so much to me, this is my inspiration to create and showing here. Love ya!!

Bottle Hanger

Hi my dear friends and fellow crafters, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Were you able to spend some lovely hours together with your mum on this mothers day? Hope so. We had, made a visit at her home, because she isn't very well and so not able to go out as we planned first. Hope she will be well again soon. What I made for her you will see on another day this week... so keep on visiting me :o).

Today I want to show you another project I made this weekend. I just so love those bottle hangers, and so I created two more of them. The one I want to show you today...

I made some dry embossing... I so love this effect and I think it looks so nice on a bottle hanger. I just rediscovered it, as you maybe saw alreday on my previous project from today. It gives such a lovely effect and looks so elegant. To make it look more intense I made some distressing over the structure.

With this project I want to join following challenges:

TOMIC - Bingo ( I just noticed that I even have three rows my project fits in... Doohickey Die, Glitter, Yellow / Glitter, Magnolia Patterned Paper, Butterfly and a diagonal row as well; Yellow, Magnolia Patterned Paper, Embossing Dry or Heat... :o)
Stamptacular Sunday - Butterfly Kisses
Sentimental Sunday - (B)irthday and (B)utterflies
Fussy and Fancy - Butterflies, Ribbons and Punches (the corners are punched)
Deep Ocean - What a wonderful woman

Wish you a wonderful start into the new week!

Whiff of Joy Challenges - Paper Piecing

Hi my dear friends and visitors, are you ready for a new challenge over at Whiff of Joy Challenges? We have a great theme for you;

PAPER PIECING

This is a technique I quite love to make. And hey, it is the first time I used four!! mediums to colour mediums to colour an image: designer papers for the dress, Distress Inks for the rest of the image, Copics for shading the dress and Pencils for some background shading and hair accents. I love how it turned out.

The image I used is 'Dare to Dream' and it is one of my favourites!

The sentiment and matching die is from Whiff of Joy as well. I love so much that Whiff of Joy haves a big range of German sentiments. This one says; 'Believe that you can do anything you want, you just have to push yourself enough'.

Now we are looking very much forward seeing your paper pieced projects.

Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Karina
