Christmas in July

Hi everyone my dear friends and visitors, have you noticed that I changed the layout of my blog? Well, I wanted it to be more open and oversightable..hm.. I guess this word doesn't exists in english, but I'm sure you know what I mean.. :o). I changed it from three columns to just two, as this way I can show bigger photos of my creations. And I made a new header, a more neutral one. Hope you like it this way.

Now to my card... we still have one day of July, so not too late to show a Christmas in July card. I made it for the new challenge at TOMIC, where they ask for the traditional Christmas colours red, green and white, and stars as addition. Here is what I made...

I coloured the image with Distress Inks. On the piccie below you also can see all the glitz I added.

With this card I want to join following challenges:

TOMIC - Christmas in July
Tildas Town - Name your Technique (Stitching)
Southern Girls - Angels or Fantasy
Addicted to Stamps - Christmas in July
Sweet Stampin - Christmas in July
Stamptacular Sunday - Patterns Galore

Have a magical day!

Hello everyone! I hope you are doing fine and enjoy summer just like I do. We had some wonderful and very sunny days this week. I hope it will last that way the next couple of weeks as well. But to be honest, I am not sad when there is a rainy day, as I know how to keep me busy... you guess... making cards :o).

Well, do you love Gorjuss Girls as much as I do? Here I want to show you one of my favourite. Isn't it just the cutest sitting on a little fawn? It is called The Fawn an I fell in love with it the first second I saw it.

The background papers I used are from the 6x6 Carta Bella paper pad Beautiful Moments. I coloured this sweet images with Copics. The beautiful Ruby red roses are from Kaiserkraft. The sentiment and matching die are from Whimsy Stamps. As additional embellishments I used Flat Backed Pearls and a Wooden Butterfly.

Misunderstood

Hi and good morning peeps! Have you already have seen the images of the new artist at Crafts and Me Robin Pushay? If not you really have to as they are just the sweetest ever!! I fell in love with them immediately when I saw them and loved to create with them. And I am sure you will as well.

The image I used on my card I show you today is 'Misunderstood'. The background papers I used here are from Marianne D

I coloured this adorable image with Copics

On the pennant I stamped a little dog looking like the one this little angel is holding in her arms. I had this stamp already for ages and never used it. Now it was time to as I thought it would match quite good.

Now I wish you a wonderful and sunny day. Sending you some sunbeams your way. We have plenty of them right now.

Hello and good morning everyone. Today it is my turn to post an inspiration on the Whiff of Joy World of Ideas Blog. I haven't a tutorial for you this time, but an idea I had recently which I realized now. I wanted to make a tag card, a card with several tags on it and integrated in the card. Below you can see how it turned out.

Tilda goes Fishing

Hi everyone, today I want to show you my latest creation I made with one of the sweet Maggies. I used Tilda Hooked. And of course she had to have a fish on her fishing rod :o) I wanted to create a little scene with her sitting on a boardwalk with some waves under her. I created them with some Kaiserkraft Pearl Flourishes. The boardwalk is created with a piece of paper from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlestich.

The papers I used for the background are from Bella Carta Beautiful Moments. As decorations I used some wooden butterfly ornaments and some flat backed pearls. The image is coloured with Distress Inks.

All those items are available at Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

Something Different

Hi everyone, two days ago I had the sudden idea that I could try to make some fingerrings with some Wooden Ornaments and Resin Flowers. I still had some silver wire at home, and then I didn't find rest anymore although it already was almost midnight. It HAD to be tried out. And it worked... yay! Look how they look like...

And here a picture how they look when you wear them. Since then I wear one of them and got quite some compliments :o) The natural wood tone looks great when you have suntanned skin.

It is very easy to make. Take a thin silver wire and twist six to seven circles in the size you need that the ring fits on your finger. Wrap each of the two ends around the circle and pitch it into the wooden ornament. The both ends are now on the upper side. Wrap the both ends around themselves and cut them when they are too long. The ends of the wire should be very close at the ornament now. To finish just hot glue the resin flower onto the ornament and the ring is ready to wear. Hope my description makes sense. You can ask me if you need any help.

The Wooden Ornaments and the Resin Flowers are available at Bunny Zoe's Crafts!

Crafts & Me Challenge # 93 - R'nB Ribbon and a Bow

Hello everyone, today you are lucky as I will show you a third card now I recently made. There are quite some things going on; challenges starting and a Blog Hop as well, as you already may have seen. So you will not be bored on my blog today... :o)

Well, at Crafts and Me Challenges we have a new challenge for you. This week I am the host of the challenge. And I chose the theme

R'N B - RIBBON AND A BOW

For my card I used one of the sweet images by the new fabulous artist at Crafts & Me Robin Pushay. You have to take a look at them, I am sure you will love them all. This one is called 'Thinking of You'.

I coloured this sweet little fairy with Distress Inks. The papers are from my scrap pile, cannot say what brands they are. Most important, they fit very well together. I love this colour combination of pink and light green. Looks so fresh and springlike.

On the photo below the sparkling hair is sightable a bit better. In the meanwhile it is sparkling even more. You know, I was impatient to make the photos from my card and did it whilst the glitter was still wet. You know that the sprakling comes out much more when it is dried. But you can get an idea here.

Now we look forward seeing what you come with. Join us to get the chance to win a fabulous prize.

Hugs, Karina

Whiff of Joy Challenge # 134 - my Sketch

Hello again dear fellow crafters out there. Now we come to my second card for today, which I also made with an image from Whiff of Joy. We are starting a new challenge today at Whiff of Joy Challenges. And we have a sketch for you, a sketch I created... but first I will show you my card I made with it, using an image from the Whiff of Joy Secret Spring Kit which was Marriage related. At the moment you can preorder the Secret Fall Kit.

I coloured the image with Distress Inks. The papers are My Mind's Eye. The sentiment I used is from the same kit as the sweet image.

And here is the sketch for you. We look forward to see what you create.
