Whiff of Joy Monthly Project August - Back to School

Hello and good morning everyone! Great to see you here. Today I have to share a special project with you. As you know we have a monthly project at Whiff of Joy World of Ideas, and this month we from the team created a 'Back to School' project. I decided to make a notebook. And... it was the first time I used my Zutter Bind-it-all. And... I had so much fun with it!!! Will use it soon again :o). Well, below you can see my book... quite some photos to see...

First here is the front cover...

Here you can see the inside cover... I used a very old school magazine I still had in my stash. It was called 'Jugend Born' and is from May 1926!! I cut and glued the year onto the front cover as you can see on the first photo in the right corner. To this time a yearly subscription has cost 2.40 Swiss Francs!!!

In the inside of my book I also added two pages of the magazine, beside of some designer papers I still had left from other projects.

This is the inside of the back cover...

And here the back cover...

A close up of the two images from front and back cover... Since a while I used my Distress Inks again.

And a close up of the cute owl from the inside of the back cover...

All those stamps I used, also the text stamps are from an older Secret Kit. But they're still available as single stamps HERE.

Thank you so much for looking! Don't forget to take a look at the other team mates projects HERE. Wish you a wonderful weekend now.

Black and White with Violet Tilda

Hello everyone! So lovely to see you here! When I saw the new theme at Magnolia Down Under I knew I HAVE to join there as it is one of my favourite themes they have there; Black and White. I decided to combine those two colours with pink. Love this combo as I think it looks so elegant. I used sweet Violet Tilda for my project.

Whiff of Joy Preview Day 4

Hello and good morning everyone. First I wanted to show you another preview yesterday. But then got too busy to schedule my post, so with a day delay here is another project I made with the new super cute images from the new release at Whiff of Joy to the theme 'Sew Sweet'.  The one I used for this card is 'Stitched up with Love'. Aren't they so sweet?? Love it!!

Here's close up of the image. I coloured it with Copics. To this papers from Pion I wanted to keep it monochromatic. Love the effect of it.

I added two tags onto my card.

While I made the stitching on my card I had the idea to add that piece you see on my photo below. Don't know the right name of it in English, it is a helper to mount the yarn into a needle. Always need this as my long-sighted eyes don't see it without anymore... ;o). Does anyone know the name of this piece?

Well, just one time sleeping and then you are able to order those gorgeous new products; from the 11th August. And we from the team will celebrate this big day with a Blog Hop!! Join us to win some of the new goodies.

 Whiff of Joy

Go and visit the other design team blogs too, lots of inspiration to see there made with those new and gorgeous images.

Salute Tilda for Bunny Zoe's Crafts

Hello and good morning everyone! Great to see you here! Today I want to show you some inspiration I recently made with one of the newest Magnolia images from the Sea Breeze Collection; 'Salute Tilda' is one of my favorites from the new cuties. I colored her up with Copics. For the background I used the Magnolia Blue Romance paper.

As you can see on the close up below I masked this sweetie and added the 'Ocean Map' stamp over her with Distess Ink Pad Tea Dye. On her right side I added the knot from the 'Fish Kit'. Love this effect. On my card I also used some Magnolia DooHickeys; the 'Flags' and the 'Scalloped Tag', both currently out of stock, but I am sure Nikki will have them again after her holidays. The one Wooden Flourishes Border is perfect to this card with the maritime theme as it looks like a wave. I added some Fran'tage on it before. Around the image I also glued some Gems.

All those items I used for my card are available at Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

Buttons or Bows at Lovely Hänglar Sweet Magnolia

Hello my dear friends and visitors, great to see you here! Are you sweating too just as I do? Oh my... I hoped so much that it would be raining today just as they forecasted. But nothing. Just some rainclouds who darkened the sky, but half an hour later the sun was shining again. I don't want to complain as we had such great weather the last four weeks with degrees between 30 and 35 degrees, and with just one rainy day. But to be honest... I don't like it... it is way too hot for me as I am sweating the whole day and I hate it so much to be so sticky all the time.

Well, therefore I loved it so much to create cards with either beach or winter scenes on it just to cool down a bit just in mind :-). The one I made for the new challenge over at 'Lovely Hänglar Sweet Magnolia' is with a beach scene, the new Magnolia collection is perfect for it. This fortnight we want to see

BUTTONS or / and BOWS

Here is what I made, using both of it...

I created a scene with three Magnolia images... the sea star and shell I used for the border from the new Magnolia collection as well.

I coloured the images with Copics.

With this card I want to join following challenges;

Tilda's Town - Add a Technique (Masking)
Ribbon Girl - a Birthday Card
Simply Magnolia - Anything Goes
Magnolia Mania - Bingo (braun - rosa - blau)

Thank you so much for looking! We look very much forward now to see you joining us.

Have a good start into the new week and for those who still are lucky to have some holidays... enjoy them!
Hugs, Karina
